Marzouk & Parry was founded in 1986 with a focus on Information Technology (IT) law counseling and litigation. Clients in the early years included business-to-business software companies, software developers, consultants and systems integrators seeking to protect their contractual and proprietary rights.  In addition, the firm represented IT departments of corporations, businesses, associations, government entities and other organizations in technology procurement transactions, including software licensing, IT development and outsourcing agreements.

Twenty-five years later, Marzouk & Parry continues to focus on representing high technology companies:  Internet companies and web-based application service providers, software developers and distributors, computer manufacturers, IT outsourcing service providers, database vendors and IT government contractors.  The firm also continues to represent the IT departments of businesses acquiring software, web-based services and other technologies.

The firm counsels businesses on a wide range of intellectual property rights, including copyright, trade secret, trademark and domain name matters, as well as technology development and acquisition, licensing, marketing, joint venture and other contracts.

Marzouk & Parry advises businesses on formation and corporate matters, including choice-of-entity, shareholders agreements, stock and asset purchase agreements and mergers and acquisitions matters, and provides counsel regarding employment law matters and employment, nondisclosure and noncompete agreements.

The firm has an active national litigation practice, representing businesses in complex litigation, arbitration and mediation proceedings, including lawsuits in state and federal courts throughout the United States. The firm has served as lead counsel in over 150 court litigations and arbitrations, representing national and international clients in software and technology licensing matters, intellectual property infringement and misappropriation actions, as well as high technology contract, employment and other business law disputes.
